Flight Operations Standards Department

1- Department Responsibilities

a- The Flight Operations Standards Department is responsible for certification and maintaining continuous safety oversight of the operational aspects of Air Operators certificate holders (AOC) to ensure that operators meets requirements equal to, or better than, those defined by Jordan Civil Aviation Regulation (JCARs) in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). The continuous safety oversight covers airlines operating scheduled, non-scheduled services, and general aviation including both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, and Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft.

b- Moreoreover, The Flight Operations Standards Department perform the role of Training and Licensing for flight crew to include certification, oversight and licensing , and just the role of issuance of related license and certificate for aircraft maintenance and air traffic control personal, the other responsibilities like certification, oversight and licensing process for maintenance and air traffic control are the responsibilities of Airworthiness Standards and Air Traffic Safety And Standards Departments.

  8. Flight crew foreign license conversion.
  9. Flight crew ratings issue, revalidation and renewal.
  10. Flight instructor ratings issue, revalidation and renewal.
  11. Flight examiner authorization issue and renewal.
  12. Crew member certificate issue and renewal.
  13. Theoretical knowledge instructor authorization issue and renewal.
  14. Accidents and incidents investigation.
  15. Minimum equipment list (MEL) approval.
  16. Airplane lease.
  17. Implementation of flight operations safety over sight program.
  18. Implementation of flight operations Safety Assessment of foreign airplane program.
